Good Shepherd Shelter
A Place to Heal After Violence Strikes at Home

At Good Shepherd Shelter, the mothers choose to break the cycle of abuse and take on the leadership of and responsibility for their families. The shelter provides a safe and loving community where mothers can address the painful past and begin new, violence-free lives. The long-term care guides families through the complex social, psychological and educational issues that confront them. They provide families with apartments, an adult learning center (which includes but is not limited to household and financial management and development of job and computer skills), a preschool and elementary tutorial center to provide children a secure and affirming environment, and aftercare to offer the moms a reliable support network to ensure a successful transition after the family has left the shelter.

How you can help:

Good Shepherd Shelter is totally supported through private donations and greatly helped by committed volunteers. Your contribution will help families begin the healing that leads to new life.
